What type of information we have…
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, the personal information we might collect include your name, address and email address and telephone number.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s IP address in order to provide us with information regarding what pages you accessed and when.

Do you share personal data with any third parties?
Yes, as we have to do this in order to process your order. For example, we have to share your name and address with the payment processor Shopify Inc (see the section relating to Shopify for further information) in order to accept and verify your payment. We have to share your contact details with the delivery company (e.g. Royal Mail, DPD or DHL) in order for them to be able to deliver your order.
Do you sell personal data to any third parties?
Absolutely not! We will never give out your email address to any third party as we think unsolicited emails are the worst kind of intrusion.
Do you send marketing emails?
Yes – but only if you’ve given us your explicit consent. You will NOT be automatically added to our marketing list if you place an order, as we’ve always found that sort of practice to be a bit presumptuous. You will only be added to our marketing list if you tick the box to opt in, and you can opt-out at any point by clicking the unsubscribe link that we include on all our marketing emails.
How we get the information and why we have it
Quite simply, if we didn’t, we wouldn’t be able to process your order. We need your name and address so we know where to send your order. We need your email address and/or telephone number in order to contact you with your order confirmation, shipping confirmation, and to get in touch if there are any problems with your order. We collect our merchants’ customers’ name, email, shipping and billing address, payment details, company name, phone number, IP address, information about orders you initiate, information about the Shopify-supported merchant stores that you visit, and information about the device and browser you use.
- We use this information to provide our merchants with the Services, including supporting and processing orders, risk and fraud screening, authentication, and payments. We also use this information to improve our Services.
- If you opt into Shopify Pay, we store and use this information to pre-fill your checkout information. We additionally use this information to help customize and improve your experience when you visit a merchant store by presenting to you goods and service that are more likely to be of interest to you.
- We use some of the personal information you provide us to conduct some level of automated decision-making -- for example, we use certain personal information (for example, IP addresses or payment information) to automatically block certain potentially fraudulent transactions for a short period of time.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
