Got a great board for my granddaughters Christmas,I tested it on dry land when it arrived so granddaughter wouldn’t be disappointed if anything not right on Xmas day,did find that the fin was really tight going into the board ,I rectified it myself,no other issues, look forward to seeing her on it next year.
I’ve ridden a few SUPs now so I’ll be completely honest with what I think of Hiks.
The wrong skeg was sent out but a new one was sent quickly. Not a great start as i didn’t realise u til I’d taken my daughter out and had it pumped up and ready to go.
The board didn’t feel as robust as expected for a double skinned board. I’ve ridden cheaper SUPs, one of them being Lidls own which felt better quality.
The carry bag is very cheap and flimsy so much so that I have to carry it with every handle to distribute the weight for fear it will rip. I’ve seen on other reviews that this is a problem.
The foam on the top of the board feels cheap.
What could make it better would be a better quality bag which is robust and will last.
The handle on the middle of the board for carrying the board feels very cheap. It feels like it could come out.
The elastic storage area at the back of the board instead of the front.
Extract handles for carrying the SUP once inflated.
Hope this helps.
